Windu is an unusual PEAK FLUTE QUARTET that combines CLASSICAL and contemporary MUSIC REPERTORIES with an interesting and contemporary STAGE PERFORMANCE. Our aim is to break with the idea of the traditional concert by offering attractive stage performances for all audiences.
This has led us to create shows with stage direction, costume design, lighting, sound, video projections and choreography, making our instrument known in an innovative way, as well as gaining the praise of the public and attracting new followers of classical music.
Windu has performed in MOSCOW, PRAGUE, LITHUANIA and throughout Spain, notably at the Santander International Festival, the Festival de Música Antigua de Úbeda y Baeza, Festival Antiqua de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Festival de Música de Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife), Sala La Gayarre del Teatro Real, Auditorio Centro Centro and Teatro Fernán Gómez de Madrid.
Windu has won four awards from the Asociación de Grupos Españoles de Música Antigua de España (GEMA): Best young group, Best innovation show (Under construction), Best innovation show (Wind) and audience vote for Best early music group.
It has also been a finalist for the REMA (Early Music in Europe) Award for best innovation show for Win
