Novum organum is a group that was born with the aim of performing stage-musical shows that recreate the repertoire within its historical context, with the objective of immersing the present-day spectator in the time and atmosphere in which the music was composed and performed for the first time.
To this end, Novum organum has a staff of musicians and professionals from the performing arts sector with a very high level of training in musicology, technique and instrumentation and with proven experience both nationally and internationally in the world of the musical and performing arts.
At Novum organum we believe that music is not just about a score. On the contrary, we consider that any interpretation that only takes into account notes and rhythm will always be incomplete.
We are firmly convinced that any artistic expression is a much richer event, and this means that for us, the traditional concert model where music is isolated from all that is proper to it and is performed in an environment alien to its essence, such as a modern auditorium, is a legacy of the nineteenth-century culture that often imposes the music you are listening to.
