Reyes Bartlet Vocal Group

The Reyes Bartlet Vocal Group was founded in September 2013 and is made up of singers with extensive solo and choral experience. The first program “Bach Round Midnight” directed by Ismael Perera, was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first album of Swingle Singers “Jazz Sebastian Bach”. Program comprised of works by J. S. Bach arranged by Ward Swingle.

In 2015 they performed the program “Leyendo que es gerundio”, a program where poetry and music of the 20th century merge. The following programs focus on early music, “La Tierra s’está gozando”, in 2015, and “Si tus penas no pruevo”, in 2016, are two programs around the Villanescas Espirituales by Francisco de Guerrero, with motets by Cristóbal de Morales and Tomás Luis de Victoria. In April 2016 it performs “Miserere a 8”, a program of early Spanish baroque commemorating the 300th anniversary of the death of Sebastián Durón, conducted by Eligio Luis Quinteiro. In 2017 they premiered “Salva nos Stella Maris” a European renaissance program around the figure of the Virgin Mary. In 2018 they premiere “Italian Splendor” with works by Renaissance and Baroque authors from this country. In October 2019 they premiere a jazz standard program. In December 2019 under the direction of Erik Van Nevel they perform “Vespers for Maria” a program composed of works of Flemish polyphony of the Renaissance.

They have performed at the Festival de Música Antigua y Barroca de Puerto de la Cruz, Caprichos Musicales de la Isla Baja, Puerto de la Cruz Bach Festival, Ciclo de Conciertos de Mapfre, Festival de Música Religiosa de Canarias (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Gomera), Ciclo de Música Antigua de Los Llanos de Aridane, Festival de Música de Cámara Villa de la Orotava, among others.
